25-26 ZAMBONI AND EDGER
We have had our current machine for a long time and it is well past it's prime, about 12 years to be exact. While we know we are getting ready to transition to new ice, we know now that our current machines will not safely and reliably continue into another season at Centennial Ice Arena. We are happy to announce that we are quickly and actively working to find a solution. We have purchased a new Electric Zamboni Ice Edger and it is on it's way. Once we move ice activities to the new facility, the BAHL will be donating this machine to Signal Peak Energy Arena. For the Zamboni we are working with Yellowstone Ice Foundation to secure a leased Zamboni. This option will be much cheaper and will allow us to return the machine once we have fully transition our ice activities to Signal Peak Energy Arena. This is a good route, and a more financially responsible way to ensure we have reliable and safe machines to provide good quality ice for the 25-26 season. It will still cost us up to $30,000 dollars, depending on how soon the new arena opens.
